When I got home from the hospital I felt great, until one night I became freezing so I just put an extra blanket on, that morning I had long pants, long sleeve shirt, no air conditioning on making the house 73 degrees and my mouth was chattering uncontrollably, I then noticed the pain in my chest and called the doctor... I had Mastitis.
After being better a few days I had a big blood clot which was surprising but I handled it and didn't think anything of it.. A few days later I got another one while shopping at Kohls luckily I got to the bathroom before it soaked through my pad. ( sorry if that is TMI)
A few more days later I was shivering again.. at least I knew what it was, I called the doctor and got medication that same day and it was gone again.
Two days later ( caution- might be more TMI) I was sitting in bed at 8 in the morning when I felt wet I put my hand on my pants and brought it up all bloody so I ran to the bathroom, it was all coming out so fast I thought to myself there is no way I will be able to clean myself without a shower so I jumped in the shower where it continued to pour out, looking at my bath tub was like a murder scene in a movie.. My body started to feel weak and then my eye sight got blurry and I was very light headed I realized I was about to pass out so I quickly lay down in the tub and started to breath really slowly. Adam came into the bathroom at that time and I said "Adam get mommy's phone!" he looked at me and said " hewo?" and I said "ya! go get it" but he just looked at me like I was not making any sense, that's when I started thinking in my head " I can not pass out, I have two kids and they will be all alone.. Adam would probably lay on Payton and something bad could happen if I am not awake to stop him" I just kept breathing instead of closing my eyes I concentrated on how I felt sick and eventually threw up which was a good thing cause it woke me up.. I eventually felt better and took myself to the doctor right away where she said my body was feeding the uterus blood because it thought I was still pregnant so I was put on blood thinners to help with the clotting
Things were getting better, until last Thursday I woke up with a tonsil double its size but I assumed it would go away eventually, the day went on I started getting a head ache because of the pain and then nausea and a fever so Matt took me to urgent care that evening where the test for Strep Throat came back positive, the doctor said I could do a shot of penicillin or pills, I feeling so crappy I said " whatever takes away the pain the fastest" so she said "the shot" I said "ok which arm do you want" and the doctor said "oh no, this doesn't go in the arm"..... I now have a big bruise on my bum.
Thursday night Payton also started acting a little strange, and Friday she was throwing up and not keeping anything down, her stomach was gurgling a lot more than usual too... I tried everything to soothe her, gas drops, gripe water, burping her, pushing her legs into her tummy, nothing was working and her pain was getting worse and she was still throwing up. I took her to the doctor and was given more medicine to help (which didn't) all night she cried and I got maybe 3 hours of sleep, on Saturday I called the doctor again and was given instructions on a different way of feeding her for a while to see if she would hold it down, she did and I fed her three times without trouble. By 8 pm I fed her again and when I brought her up to burp her she shot all of her food from that day all down herself and me, Matt watched in wide eyes and I said "that's it we are taking her to the doctor!" we dropped Adam at my moms and took Payton to Instacare where we waited 40 min to get in just to be told that they don't have any equipment to help her and wanted us to go to the ER. Once we got to the ER the waiting room was full, Matt and I looked at each other and said "this is going to be a long night" my Mom and Dad met us there at 10:00 pm to give her a blessing once we got into a room.. we got into a room at 1 am... They needed to take blood to run some test but she was so dehydrated by this time that they couldn't find any good veins.. the nurse decided to do the one on the back of her hand but once he poked her she of course freaked out and I noticed her wrist had blood on it I looked at it confused for a minute and realized she was bleeding so alarmed I said "her wrist is bleeding!" the nurse then pulled the needle out and she started bleeding from two dots (he had poked the needle all the way through). so they decided to do a heal prick which was just as painful to watch because she wasn't bleeding much. (at that time Matt and Grandpa were getting very frustrated, Grandpa was voicing it more and telling them that she is dehydrated and all they are doing is hurting her.. It was cute to see him get so protective of her) Mom and Dad left and 2 ish. We were told that she needed fluid and more testing because her x-ray showed an unusual amount of gas in her stomach, by 4:30 am they were ready to admit her to the hospital. The next two days were tests and no sleep.

Her IV in her foot and her oxygen monitor on the other.

Sweet brave baby girl... she had a little hospital gown on.. It was so tiny and cute.

After ruling out intestinal and stomach problems swine flu and any other flu, the conclusion was that she had the rhino virus (also known as the common cold) which caused her to get sick which made her dehydrated which made her bowels slow down and build up gas.... At least no we are home and she is feeling a lot better but she is still very exhausted and has little nightmares now but I don't blame her it was a scary thing for a 7 week old baby to go through.

I am so sorry you have been going through all of this!! I hope and pray things go better for you guys! PLEASE call me if you need anything. I'm happy to help!
Oh my heck! What a crazy rollercoaster! I'm so glad you and your baby are doing a lot better. You're such a good mom. It's so HARD to try and figure out what is wrong with babies sometimes. Evan one time started to projectile vomit and I freaked! It was so scary for me. Anyway! Let us know how she is doing.
Wow! Good job for keeping level headed through all that! Hope and pray both of you stay healthy for a while!
How traumatic! For all of you. I'm so sorry. I'm glad everyone is doing better now and I hope you have a lot less excitement over there.
